COLLECTIVE BARGAINING UPDATE
May 8, 2002

The Collective Bargaining Committee met on Tuesday, April 30th, 2002, to discuss the status of negotiations and next steps.

There is still some additional Access to Information and compensation data to be reviewed and analyzed, but the Committee expects to complete this work by mid-May.

In regards to next steps (mediation, arbitration), the Committee will be announcing their course of action in mid-May.

You are, as always, invited to write your Member of Parliament, your Senior Financial Officer (SFO), or the new Secretary of the Treasury Board, Mr. Jim Judd, to express your concerns and frustrations regarding the employers refusal to adequately recompense all FIs for their contributions to the public service.
