2007 AGM UPDATE: New Directors Elected To ACFO Board

OTTAWA - Three new Directors have assumed duties following their election to the Board of Directors on May 22nd. The newly elected members are: Karen Hall, John Leduc and Nicole Bishop Tempke. Robert Loiselle, who sat as a Director until the Annual General Meeting, was elected as Vice-Chair of the Board.

Chair Milt Isaacs welcomes the new members and thanks departing members for their years of service. "It is a pleasure and an honour to serve on the ACFO Board and I thank those who have devoted much time to working for the betterment of our FI community," Mr. Isaacs says. "To our new members, I look forward to our partnership and your support in tackling the issues ahead."

Mr. Loiselle has been actively involved with ACFO since 1998, serving on the Compensation and Benefits Committee, as a member of the Negotiating Team, and as a Board Director since 2004.

Ms. Hall was also a member of the Negotiating Team during the last round of collective bargaining and has participated in the Compensation and Benefits Committee for the past several years.

Mr. Leduc served on the Negotiating Committee and on the Compensation and Benefits Committee together with Ms. Bishop Tempke, who worked on this Committee for the past four years. The four will join existing Board members Milt Isaacs, Arjun Patil and Tony Bourque.

Mr. Isaacs wishes to acknowledge the dedication of departing Board members Jim Currier, Jonathan Hood and Raoul (Randy) Andersen. "We accomplished a lot together and I am grateful for your contributions and the opportunity I had to know you all."

Mr. Currier and Mr. Hood served on the Board for eight years respectively: Mr. Currier as Vice-Chair of the Board, Director, and member of the Communications and Membership Committees; Mr. Hood as a Board Director and Chair of the Compensation and Benefits Committee for the last three rounds of Collective Agreement negotiations. Mr. Andersen served as a Director on the Board for the past year and a half, following eight years as a local and regional departmental ACFO representative.

"On behalf of ACFO, thank you for your commitment in helping us to accomplish our often rigourous mandate," Mr. Isaacs says. "Together with our new representatives, the Board will continue to advance members' interests to the best of our abilities."
