Golf Tournament

The annual golf tournament will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2001 at the Canadian Golf and Country Club. The membership can be proud that this charity tournament has, over the past five years, raised more than $40,000.00 for the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.

The Institute provides cardiac care in the NCR as well as world class research, shared throughout the world. For those of us who live in the NCR, at some time, if not ourselves, then someone close to us has received medical care at the facility.

The Association would like to raise in excess of $10,000.00 from this year's tournament. We can only do it through participation of members who either play in the tournament or make a donation. With more than 1,200 members in the NCR, hopefully there would be 40 to 50 golfers.

The cost this year is $85 for members, $95 for non-members (no tax receipt). This includes lunch, 18 holes of golf, electric cart, dinner and an opportunity for prizes.

For those who don't play golf, should you wish to make a donation through the Association, a tax receipt will be issued by the Heart Institute.

Please consider playing and if you can't or you live outside of the NCR, consider making a donation. Obtain a registration form for either playing or making a donation, or by calling Karen Burrows at the National Office at 728-0695 (NCR) or 1 877 728-0695 (outside of the NCR).
