Preliminary Notice
2001 Annual General Meeting (AGM)
In accordance with Article 21.2 of the APSFA Constitution, preliminary notice of the Twelfth Annual General Meeting is hereby given. The AGM will take place:
Thursday, March 29, 2001
7:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Ottawa, Ontario
All regular members are invited to submit resolutions and/or amendments to the Constitution for consideration by the membership at the AGM. To ensure that they are dealt with at the AGM, resolutions must be submitted to the National office no less than forty (40) days prior to the AGM which is February 17, 2001. (Article 21.6 of the Constitution).
If you would like to receive a hard copy of the Constitution and By-Laws as amended at the last AGM, please contact the National Office and it will be mailed to you. If you have any questions or require assistance in submitting your Resolutions, please leave a message at the National Office and a member of the Board of Directors will contact you.
Copies of the Annual Report, the Budget, Resolutions for consideration and Voting Procedures will be sent to each paid-up member prior to March 5, 2001.
If you are planning to attend the AGM, it would be appreciated if you would let us know by calling the National Office at 613-728 0695 of toll free at 1-877-728 0695 or by e-mail at general@apsfa-agffp.com. This will greatly assist in our planning for accommodations and catering.

The three (3) positions to be voted to office at the AGM are:

Nominations are hereby invited. If you are interested in serving the membership of the Association as an officer you should:
Ensure that you are a fully paid-up regular member and meet the requirements of Article 23.8 of the Constitution which requires the nominee for Vice-President to have held a position on the Board of Directors for a period of not less than one year and Directors to be members in good standing for a period of not less than two consecutive years.
Submit a written notification of your intentions, specifying the position applied for to:

Have your application endorsed by two (2) other fully paid-up regular members.
If you wish a summary of your background to be included in the voting package to assist members in voting, please submit a short five hundred (500) word summary.
This information must reach the Committee no later than February 17, 2001 to allow for distribution of the voting packages according to Article 23.4 of the Constitution.
All interested regular members are encouraged to try for these positions.
