Collective Bargaining
Public Service
The current collective agreement for the FI group expired on November 6, 2001. Since July of 2001, the APSFA Collective Bargaining Committee has done some tremendous preparatory work in the areas of research and analysis, providing hard data and rationales to support the monetary and non-monetary demands for the group.
In November 2001, Notice to Bargain was given to the employer, and an initial meeting took place in December. A second series of meetings is scheduled for early February, 2002.
As always, it is important that all members show their support for the hard work and efforts of not only the Negotiating Team, but also the entire Collective Bargaining Committee throughout this process.
We encourage you to keep visiting this APSFA Web site as we have posted, and will continue to post, updates to keep the membership informed and involved.
Nav Canada
Members at Nav Canada ratified an extension to the current Collective Agreement until August 31st, 2002. Notice to bargain for the next round may be given in April, 2002.
