Canada Customs and Revenue Agency (CCRA)
Determination of Bargaining Unit Structure
On December 12th, 2001, the Public Service Staff Relations Board (PSSRB) rendered its decision on the bargaining unit structure at CCRA. The Board has determined that there are two units appropriate for collective bargaining.
The first is the Program Delivery and Administrative Services Group (AS, IS, OM, PM, DA, CR, OE, ST, DD, EG, GT, GS, GL, EL, PR & PG), with the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) as the certified bargaining agent.FIs will be included in the second bargaining unit, the Audit, Financial & Scientific Group which will be represented by the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada (PIPSC). This second unit will be comprised of FI, AU, CO, AC, EN, CH, PS, SE, ES, SI, LS, ED & CS.
As a result of this PSSRB decision, FIs at CCRA will now be represented by PIPSC, who will assume the responsibility for negotiating a new collective agreement for FIs, whose current agreement expired on November 6th, 2001.
For those members who wish to read the PSSRB decision in its entirety, it is available for download on their Web site at: www.pssrb-crtfp.gc.ca.
The Association regrets the loss of its members at the CCRA as a result of this decision, and we wish to thank these members for their support over the years and wish them luck with their new bargaining agent.
