ACFO Information Sessions

Dear Members,
With the Association in the midst of collective bargaining and the election of a new Chair in 2005, we feel it is high time to meet in person with members across the country. In late March and early April, the Chair of ACFO and the Chair of the Collective Bargaining Committee (Jonathan Hood) will be traveling to 15 different locations to hold information sessions.
Meetings will take place either from 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM (lunch) or from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM (dinner) at the locations outlined below. We will update you on the status of the bargaining talks with the Employer and on other activities the Association is undertaking on your behalf in Ottawa. There will be the opportunity to mingle with your local colleagues, as well as to chat with local ACFO Directors and members of the Collective Bargaining Committee. Sessions in Ottawa, Gatineau, Montreal and Moncton will be bilingual.
Making these information sessions a true two-way street, members will be encouraged to ask questions and voice their opinions on issues such as collective bargaining and the Association's advocacy role. We believe that in order to effectively speak on behalf of our members on any issue, we have to first and foremost give members the chance to talk to us in person. It is therefore that these regional events are of such integral importance to keep the FI community moving together towards our collective goals.
