NEGOTIATIONS FOR THE RENEWAL OF THE PS HEALTH CARE PLAN

The Public Service Health Care Plan is currently being renegotiated with Treasury Board as the plan expires March 31, 2005. The Public Service Health Care Plan reimburses participants for a comprehensive number of medical services and products as defined in the Plan document. This Plan is jointly managed through a trust consisting of representatives from the bargaining agents of the National Joint Council, the Treasury Board of Canada, and the Federal Superannuates National Association. The plan is administered by the Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada.
We are looking for input from ACFO members for changes to benefits in the plan and issues in the administration of the plan. Please provide your comments directly by email before May 15, 2004 to Jonathan Hood, Chairperson of the Compensation and Benefits Committee.
